MEET THE EXEC BOARD
Ifeoluwa Adeyinka
President
Ifeoluwa Adeyinka is a junior from Homewood, Illinois majoring in Economics and minoring in Business. Ife is also involved in Black Business Network (BBN), ACA, and I-Connect Diversity & social justice workshop. She joined the Econ club because of her interests in how Economic theories and decisions affect individuals and businesses. After completing her undergraduate degree, Ife is interested in pursuing a career within the finance industry and consulting.
PARTH SHUKLA
Vice President
Parth Shukla is a junior from Naperville, IL studying Finance. He joined Econ Club with an interest in microeconomics after taking ECON 102 with Vasquez. He enjoys playing tennis, basketball, and hanging out with friends. Other than Econ Club, Parth is involved in Illinois Business Consulting. He is interested in the financial markets, investing, data & analytics, and information systems and hopes to one day work for a major financial institution.
Akshaya Venkatesh
Vice President
Akshaya currently holds the position of Vice President at the Economics Club. She is a junior from Chicago, Illinois, and is majoring in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics. In her leisure time, she enjoys practicing yoga, eating pasta, and listening to R&B music. She is also a big fan of the TV show "Monk".
HANNA FEI
Vice President
Hanna is a junior from the Bay Area in California and is studying Economics and Statistics with a minor in Business. She was first introduced to economics in high school and was surprised by how applicable it is to the choices people make in their daily lives. Hanna hopes to learn more about the intersection between economics and statistics and use it to pursue a career in data analysis. Besides Econ Club, Hanna is involved in UniPlace Community Service RSO, Outdoor Adventure Club, and Inline Insomniacs. She also enjoys making and styling food for her food Instagram, painting, and playing golf.
SAFA WAQAR
Secretary
Safa is a senior majoring in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics with a minor in Business. Her first exposure to economics in high school is what made her want to continue to study it, as she enjoys rigorous reasoning and wanted a deeper understanding of economic theory in all its various forms. She is interested in data analysis and economic research, and hopes to become a consultant upon graduation. On campus, she is also involved in a co-educational service fraternity (Alpha Phi Omega). Aside from economics, she enjoys animals, cooking, and travelling.
Aadit Lakhani
Secretary
Aadit is a junior majoring in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics. As the Secretary of the Economics Club, Aadit is responsible for organizing and executing impactful events, synthesizing executive meeting discussions and facilitating efficient task management. His interests lie at the intersection of economics, technology, and innovation, with a strong focus on using data-driven insights to drive strategic decisions.
Shiv Khanna
Treasurer
Shiv Khanna is a sophomore from New Delhi, India majoring in Economics and Mathematics. After completing his undergraduate degree, Shiv hopes to work in Financial Advisory or Business Consulting, and eventually obtain an MBA. He joined the Econ Club to connect with like-minded people passionate about Economics. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.
Paul Muehlberg
Social Chair
Paul Muehlberg is a Junior studying Econometrics and Quantitative Economics with minors in Business and Computer Science. He is interested in the intersection of economics, business, and computer science to make better business decisions. Upon graduation he is hoping to begin a career in data science or continue with the study of Computer Science. In his free time, he enjoys watching football and playing pickleball.
Yashna Yadav
Director of Public Relations
Yashna is a sophomore from India, majoring in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics with minors in Business and Data Science. She is particularly passionate about macroeconomic applications, including fiscal policy, government budgets, and banking systems. Yashna focuses on leveraging big data and statistical modeling to tackle key economic issues and inform policy decisions in these areas. On campus, she serves as a senior consultant for the consulting club EntreCORPS, where she hones her skills and explores consulting as a future career. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music and traveling.

Mia Bonds
Professional Outreach Chair
Mia Bonds is a sophomore from Chicago, Illinois majoring in Agricultural & Consumer Economics with a concentration in International Trade & Development. After completing her undergraduate degree, Mia hopes to work in capital market research and economic development. Mia joined Econ Club to meet other students interested in economics. In addition to Econ Club, Mia is the Finance Chair of MANRRS, Co-founder of Plant Futures, and a member of the Black Business Network. In her free time, Mia enjoys drawing, reading, and spending time with friends.
Juliana Armetta
Academic Chair
Juliana is a dedicated senior pursuing a double major in Economics and Political Science. Passionate about understanding the intersection of these fields, she actively engages in academic discussions and seeks out opportunities to collaborate with peers. Her involvement in the economics club stems from her desire to meet driven students with similar interests, fostering both intellectual growth and a sense of community. After graduation, Juliana plans to further her academic journey by attending a law school.
